As I mentioned in my last blog post, one of the top mistakes product businesses are making is not outsourcing. Outsourcing allows you to meet a much higher volume of orders, meaning you will be able to enter the wholesale market and not have to worry about if you can meet the order volumes.
Working less and earning more creates more free time for you to be strategic. It will help to increase your revenue and leave you feeling more focused. It gets you out of a state of overwhelm and ‘doing all the things’ so you can focus on what’s really important and going to help you move forward in your business.
An example of this would be when I used a pick and pack fulfilment service to fulfil a very large-scale Christmas corporate gifting account. I didn’t have the setup in my own warehouse to produce the volume of thousands of gift boxes, so I outsourced it to a local company that was supervised and provided them with a prototype to facilitate and fulfil all the orders.
Outsourcing really is a big key to growing your business!
You may need to outsource a task because it requires skilled expertise. Outsourcing a task to people who can perform it better makes total sense. Outsourcing tasks that don’t bring you joy can also be beneficial as you’re not dreading and putting off doing certain tasks that you know will move your business forward.
Outsourcing is a perfect way to increase your own productivity as you are now able to work more on your business strategy and do more of what you love in your business! When you’re enjoying what you do and feeling good about working on your business each day, you’ll notice your business will begin to grow even faster!
Often, outsourcers produce greater quality in a more rapid timeframe. Outsourcing can give you access to capabilities and facilities otherwise not accessible or affordable. Think less time trying to learn a new task and a better quality result because who you’re outsourcing it to is an expert.
Outsourcing can really help you leverage your knowledge and skills along the complete supply chain putting you ahead of your competitors who are trying to ‘do it all’ themselves rather than leveraging skillsets.
Outsourcing can increase your deliverables to your customers by increasing your turn around times dramatically.
Freelancers and assistance are well known for working outside of traditional office hours and can complete tasks while you’re out of the office, living your life! Better work life balance means feeling good about your business and better results.
